Yamaha SVC-300F SILENT Cello

The Yamaha SVC300 series SILENT Cello™ combines the expressive character of a cello with the creative freedom of an electric instrument. Designed for stage performance, it delivers a rich, vibrant sound with versatile tone-shaping options, making it ideal for musicians looking to explore everything from traditional cello sounds to more contemporary styles.

The SVC300F has a warmer, more acoustic-like sound featuring a distinctive wooden design, with a thin finish that highlights the natural beauty and detail of the wood grain across the frame, body and neck.

Machine-style tuning pegs allow for quick, precise tuning, making adjustments easy even during live performances. An internal cavity structure, carried over from previous models, helps create a sense of acoustic resonance despite the instrument's soundbox-free design.

Shape Your Own Sound

The SVC300 series offers extensive control over your sound. Combine different sound types, adjust the blend between them, fine-tune the treble and bass using the built-in equaliser, and add reverb to create the right atmosphere for any performance. These features give you the flexibility to move between musical styles and develop your own distinctive sound.

Natural Resonance with SRT Powered System

Yamaha's SRT (Studio Response Technology) Powered System adds natural tone and resonance to the sound of instruments without a large acoustic body. Developed through detailed analysis and measurement of acoustic instruments, the technology enhances the signal from the cello's pickups in real time, rather than relying on sampled sounds.

Optimised specifically for the SVC300 series, the system brings out the individual tonal characteristics of the SVC300F. It helps reproduce the player's unique expression while delivering the depth and resonance associated with an acoustic cello. SRT Powered System technology has also been used in Yamaha's electric violins and SILENT Bass instruments.

Combining expressive sound, flexible controls and distinctive styling, the Yamaha SVC300 SILENT Cello offers a new level of creative freedom for stage performers and musicians exploring the possibilities of electric cello.
