Product Specs
Claude Debussy (1862-1918) composed three original pieces for four hands at two pianos in his lifetime (and two other reductions of solo concertos). The three original compositions are contained in this volume.
Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune, was his most-performed orchestral piece during his lifetime and the transcription for two pianos was published at the same time in December 1894.
Lindaraja, composed in 1901, remained unpublished in Debussy's lifetime. The autograph was found by chance in his papers after his death and was first published in 1926 by Jobert.
En blanc et noir, is a three-part composition and one of Debussy's principal works. It was composed between July and October 1915, in the midst of the First World War while the composer was staying in Pourville on the Normandy coast.
