Java reeds were developed by Vandoren for jazz and commercial music.
A thicker extremity and a more flexible pallet* than the Traditional reed allow vibration over a larget surface area with maximum elasticity. This type of vertebral column gives the musician much greater playing flexibility as the resultant elasticity zone is very large.
*pallet: zone where the waves are propagated with the greatest range. From the tip, the waves are absorbed further in the Java reed.

In order to keep your reed prices as cheap as possible, we re-package Vandoren reeds to fit the "large letter" postal size. Each reed is still individually sealed in its original packaging but you won’t receive an original sealed outer box. If you wish your reeds to come in the original sealed box (£2 surcharge), please phone one of our shops on 0333 344 0070. Orders of 2 or more boxes will be sent sealed in their original outer boxes.
Instruments - Delivery is FREE within mainland UK for all instruments. This price you see is the price you pay.
(Instruments over £100 are always sent by our Express service, regardless of the service selected in the checkout, except for heavy items such as pianos.)
