Our 'Rent-to-Buy' rental scheme gives you the chance to try an instrument of your choice for a low monthly rate. We rent out good quality instruments which encourages beginners when they are starting out. It is a false economy to buy cheaper instruments as they are usually made with low quality materials and components. Our instruments are set up, guaranteed and maintained through your rental period. All instruments listed are brand new outfits, i.e. instruments and cases.

We are teamed with the Duet Musical Finance. After your initial first monthly payment to us in store, Duet will take the remaining 23 monthly payments by direct debit. After 24 monthly instalments the instrument becomes yours. Minimum rental is four months.

The Scheme

24 monthly payments (1st month payable at the time of rental)
Minimum of £250
1st payment is made by credit or debit card only, subsequent payments are taken by direct debit via Duet Musical Finance who will carry out a credit check
Instruments can be returned at any stage during the agreement (after 4 months and subject to the instrument's condition)
On completion of the 24th and final payment, the instrument is yours
Free maintenance during the rental period
Cost per month is 5.1% of the current purchase price

What Can I Rent?

We have a wide selection of instruments to rent, all instruments listed are brand new outfits, i.e. instruments and cases. Instruments available include flutes, clarinets, saxophones, oboes, bassoons, trumpets, flugel horns, trombones, french horns, low brass, violins, violas and cellos. We also have an excellent selection of sheet music available to purchase online and in store, from beginner to advanced for all our rental instruments.

Applying

Applications can only be made for instruments of £250 or more. Your first payment in store must be paid by credit or debit card, the remaining monthly payments by direct debit to Duet. Please bring your bank account details with you. A credit check will be carried out at the time of arranging the agreement. This will only take a few minutes, then you can leave with your instrument.

Applications can also be done by post, all forms must be signed and returned to us before the instrument can be dispatched. There is a £7 delivery charge on all rental instruments that are not collected from one of our shops.

To Cancel

If you wish to return the instrument you may do this at any time after the minimum four months rental period. The instrument must be in good condition (normal wear and tear accepted). Your payments to Duet will stop once we have agreed to take the instrument back. (We are not legally obliged to accept an instrument back under this scheme. You must maintain the instrument and ensure it is kept in good condition throughout the duration of the agreement).
